服务详情
The trench cutter is the core equipment for diaphragm wall construction, widely used in foundation engineering such as subway pits, deep foundation pits, seepage walls, port projects, and underground parking lots. We provide professional trench cutter transport services from manufacturing plants to domestic/overseas construction sites. We support single-unit or batch shipments, and offer both whole-machine transport or dismantled component transport.
Common Types
Hydraulic Grab Trench Cutter
Milling Trench Cutter (Double-wheel Milling Cutter)
Wireline Grab Trench Cutter
Small Crawler Trench Cutter (for confined sites)
Large Trench Cutter (grab weight over 10 tons)
Key Transport Challenges
Large Dimensions: The overall height of a trench cutter can reach 10–20 meters, length about 10–15 meters, width about 3–4 meters. Standard flatbeds are often insufficient.
Heavy Weight: The whole machine typically weighs 30–80 tons, and large milling cutters can exceed 100 tons.
Complex Structure with High Dismantling Requirements: The trench cutter consists of a mast, grab, hydraulic system, power unit, winch, crawler chassis, etc. If transported in parts, professional dismantling and reassembly are required.
High Center of Gravity: When the mast is upright, the center of gravity is high. Sharp turns or sudden braking during transport can cause overturning.
Precision Hydraulic System Prone to Damage: Hydraulic pipes, cylinders, and control valves may loosen or leak due to transport vibration.
High Tread Pressure on Deck: The crawler tracks exert high point pressure on the flatbed; wooden sleepers or rubber pads are needed to distribute weight and prevent slipping.
Our Transport Solutions
Pre-loading Preparation
Lay down or dismantle the mast. Secure the grab to the body or pack it separately.
Hydraulic system: Lock all hydraulic cylinders, seal pipe joints with plugs or plastic caps to prevent oil leakage and foreign matter ingress.
For sensitive components such as precision hydraulic valve blocks, electrical control boxes, and sensors, remove and pack separately (wooden crate + cushioning material).
Clean mud and oil from crawler tracks to prevent slipping or deck contamination during transport.
Lifting & Securing
For whole-machine transport, use a low-bed flatbed or hydraulic modular trailer. Lay wooden sleepers or rubber pads between tracks and deck. Secure the crawler chassis from four directions using chains or straps.
For component transport, weld or strap the mast, grab, power unit, and other independent parts to the vehicle deck.
Add wooden dunnage at both ends of the dismantled mast to prevent deformation.
All lashing plans comply with the Cargo Securing Manual; provide lashing calculations for review.
Transport Modes
Breakbulk on deck: drive or lift onto deck; place wooden sleepers under tracks; secure with welded stoppers + chains.
Flat rack container: suitable for small trench cutters (under 10 tons); securing similar to flatbed.
Ro-Ro vessel: trench cutter can drive onto deck; additional lashing required to prevent sliding.
Low-bed flatbed (with ramps): suitable for trench cutters under 30 tons.
Hydraulic modular trailer: suitable for trench cutters over 30 tons or oversize units; adjustable deck height, multi-axle weight distribution.
Oversize transport: apply for permits (over-height, over-width, over-length) in advance; arrange escort vehicles (front and rear).
Road Transport (Domestic or Cross-border):
Sea Freight:
Multimodal Transport: Road + sea + inland trucking; door-to-door service available.
Value-added Services
Customs declaration and HS code classification assistance (trench cutters fall under construction machinery; favorable export tax rebate rates).
Pre- and post-loading photo/video documentation, focusing on mast securing, hydraulic pipe sealing, and track dunnage.
Crane offloading at destination port or site, placement at designated location (e.g., pit edge or staging area).
Equipment cleaning (removal of mud, oil stains) to meet import quarantine requirements of destination country.
